It is the fastest service connecting Tokyo with Kanazawa and Tsuruga, stopping at only a few stations. All seats are reserved. The Gran Class includes an attendant who provides light meals and beverages.

How to use

All seats are reserved. To ride the Shinkansen, you need a basic ticket and a limited express ticket according to the type of seat. Fares are divided into three periods: regular, peak, and off-peak. During peak periods (such as Golden Week, Obon, and New Year), fares are higher, while off-peak fares are lower. The displayed fare is for the regular period.

Limited Express Reserved Seat Ticket

Gran Class express ticket

This is a limited express ticket for the highest-class car. A dedicated attendant is on board, providing services such as snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and confectionery.

Hakutaka & Tsurugi | Hokuriku Shinkansen

This is a semi-fast service between Tokyo and Kanazawa/Tsuruga, with more stops than the Kagayaki. The Tsurugi does not offer Gran Class. On the Hakutaka, Gran Class seats are available, but there is no attendant and no onboard food or drink service.
